Humana Value-Based Care Award


The Humana Value-Based Care Research Awards are presented to individuals whose original research reflects new and relevant insights in value-based care in the geriatric population.


The Humana Value-Based Care Research award is given to the author of the highest scoring AGS Annual Meeting abstract addressing the “quadruple-aim” of healthcare. The quadruple-aim consists of:

  • enhancing the patient experience of care (including quality and satisfaction);
  • improving the health of populations;
  • reducing the per capita cost of health care;
  • improving the care of and experience of the healthcare team.

Application Process

Applicants must complete an awards application and submit an abstract of research or research-in-progress electronically via the abstract submission site. 


$2,000. These funds are intended, in part, to cover awardees' travel expenses to attend the AGS Annual Scientific Meeting.
