Geriatrics healthcare professionals are being asked to assume a wide variety of leadership positions in both academic and other healthcare organizations, requiring leaders that are highly skilled and adaptive to the increasing speed and number of changes occurring in the healthcare system and beyond. Learning Objectives: (1) describe of the culture the teams you work in, and of those above and below your team in the organization; (2) discuss how formal and information norms and “rules” are present in organizations and approaches to modifying and changing them over tie; (3) review how leadership and followership are closely interdigitated -and the agility in moving from leader to follower within organizations and team; (4) effectively enhance and build on the positive aspects of diversity, inclusivity, equity and accessibility.
